In this week's issue of Grazia we broke the news that Victoria Beckham is selling off 600 iconic pieces from her wardrobe on The Outnet. The designer is selling dresses, shoes and accessories from her fashion archive with proceeds going to mothers2mothers, a charity which aims to eliminate the transmission of HIV and Aids between mothers and their unborn children.
For this week's cover story Grazia's Katherine Ormerod sat down with Victoria to find out all about this epic wardrobe clear out. Victoria shares the stories behind her most iconic looks headed for the Outnet from the white Prada dress in Spice World The Movie to her floral Roberto Cavalli skirt.
One iconic VB piece up for grabs is the leather Voyage top she wore on Ali G back in 2001. Victoria told us: 'I wore this leather top when David and I went on the Ali G show for Comic Relief. David actually boight it for me.' VB tweeted about this look yesterday: "Remember this? Ali G with David. So fun!!I'll miss these clothes, please find them a good home."
In this week's issue we have spoken to VB about several of the outfits she has donated to the Outnet. She said of her green Maria Grachvogel catwalk look: "I can remember phoning my mum before I did that fashion show and saying, “Mum I’m really, really nervous.” She said, “Victoria, you’ve been walking since the age of one, you’ve got nothing to be nervous about. Shut up and get on with it!” So I did."
