Victoria Beckham in two of her own designs for Victoria, Victoria Beckham [Rex]
According to The Telegraph today, Victoria Beckham’s fashion business has doubled its turnover in the past financial year; with profits of Beckham Ventures Ltd just shy of an impressive £1.5 million for 2012. While the mainline continues to lure consumers with it’s ultra-chic arm candy, flattering dresses and well-cut coats – and back in 2011 we reported on how sales for VB’s fashion line were up more than 70% and that she pocketed a whooping £15 million in the first three months of that year - the revenue boost is largely due to the savvy introduction of sister line. Remember the patch-pocket tunics and cat prints of the first season? They had waiting lists and repeat orders galore.

Since launching two years ago Victoria, Victoria Beckham has....
1: Rooted itself into NYFW. Becoming just as much of an essential part of the schedule as her mainline show. For the last presentation (S/S'14) VB invited eds to come along and see the collection in person.
L-R: A/W'13 the tailored jacket-dress is a current hit, A/W'12's preppy white collars put school-girl charm on the menu, S/S'13's art deco-style cloud prints brought a fun twist to chic shifts,

2: Attracted the A-list. The wardrobes of global red carpeteers like Michelle Williams or Diane Kruger. But with prices starting just under £500 in comparison to the mainline, which pushes well into the £1,000 mark for a dress, it’s no wonder the slightly younger, cheekier, more relaxed collection has found it’s way into the wardrobes of mere mortals, too. Which surely counts as a third point?

3. Found the very best ambassador: A major of the label’s success could also be down to the fact that Mrs Beckham wears the line so well, and so regularly. Constantly papped and never lets her style guard down. Seconds after her S/S'14 line was introduced, she was spotted out and about in the blue bouncy big dress pictured above.
