Valentine’s Day Treat? Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Launches Spring Lingerie Collection

It was only yesterday that Grazia Daily was getting excited about the prospect of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley designing more of her divine lingerie. In a new interview, the ridiculously hot catwalker revealed the reason she first got into modelling was to dabble in design and now has plans to take her creative talents further. Hurrah! And today, RHW has dropped off a taster of the new Rosie for Autograph collection for Spring 2013 to whet our appetites courtesy of this envy-inducing video below:

This time round, Rosie draws inspiration from her extensive collection of vintage lingerie and uses the most luxurious of fabrics to create gorgeously feminine pieces that will land just in time for Valentine’s Day *hint hint* The signature silk pad bra, kimono wrap and chemise set that we saw in the first drop have all been reworked in new colours and prints with the hand-painted floral design being inspired by original Art Nouveau rose motifs. What's more, nightwear pieces have been added for Spring including the flirty babydoll, the delicate silk nightdress with a glamorous floor-sweeping hemline and intricate lace trim and the chiffon wrap. Yes please.

'As this collection is launching so close to Valentine’s Day, it was more important than ever to make sure that all the new colours complemented all skintones,' says Rosie. 'We decided upon a gorgeous palette of blush pinks and warm neutrals which every women will love to wear.'

Soozie Jenkinson, Head of Lingerie Design at M&S, worked alongside the Brit model on the designs. 'Rosie and I put softness and romance at the very top of our creative agenda for this collection,' Soozie tells us. 'Lingerie is a beautifully personal, intimate gift and so every attention to detail was designed with femininity in mind, using the finest fabrics such as sumptuous silks and French designed rose lace.'

Hmm, forget waiting for the fella to take note - we may just have to treat ourselves. Have a peruse of the full collection, which is available in store now and online at marksandspencer.com/rosie, in the gallery below...
