So What Can We Expect From Tom Ford's 'Real' London Fashion Week Show?

Every fashion week there is one hot ticket that Fashion Editors will disgrace themselves to get their hands on. For the upcoming London Fashion Week A/W 2013-14 that show is most definitely the Tom Ford catwalk – which we hear will be a FULL show (in previous seasons Ford has limited his reveals to small, intimate presentations with key editors, complete with models and a proper fashion audience.

And aside from the fact that its Tom fricking Ford we are talking about, we are mostly excited because the one time that Ford has shown his collection on a catwalk since his comeback in September 2010, he called up a roster of walkers which included, Beyonce, Daphne Guinness, Julianne Moore and Lauren Hutton. Yuh huh! And while we’ll concede that show was for the launch of his eponymous womenswear label and it was staged in New York, the potential for proper star-dazzle is enough to send us giddy.

So what else could we expect from Tom’s first proper foray on the London Fashion Week roster? Click through the gallery below to see what we see through our crystal ball of fashion predictions...

1. A starry FROW

Ford can pull in the A-listers like no other designer can, so we have high hopes for his FROW. Previous attendees as above have included the likes of Beyonce but this time around we’d bet on Anne Hathaway, Julianne Moore and London based fans Keira Knightley and Gwyneth Paltrow.

2. Red carpet-worthy gowns

Monsieur Ford loves a floorsweeping gown – especially ones with Angelina-esque thigh slits. Keep an eye out for Oscars contenders – remember Gwynnies white caped gown?

3. Bejazzling

Ford is a Texan man at heart and definitely isn’t shy with the crystals. Look out for tassels dripping in bling or head to toe sequins.

4. Brit girls

As to which models might make the grade we reckon Cara Delevingne or Kate Moss are the only Brit girls with the requisite star power to open the show right now. Although Rosie, Jourdan or Edie could acquit themselves well too.

5. Super sexy footwear

Ford’s last collection was all about chastity and perversity and his kinky boots have made a serious splash both on the red carpet (Anne Hathaway) and on magazine covers (J-Lo). We predict that the king of porno-chic will tap the sexy shoe look come showtime.

6. Celebrity catwalkers

If Ford were to go for a starry cast of models as he's done in the past with his 'Swans' (we're talking everyone from Beyonce to Daphne Guinness_. we reckon London’s musos and rock chics could fit his all women, all ages vibe well. Think a crowd including Rita Ora, Jerry Hall, Florence Welch and Yasmin le Bon.

7. Fab tailoring

Ford is a wizard with tailoring, so we’re sure to get a kick-ass tux or two from him. Seventies style suiting has been his calling card but last season saw all manner of bondage corsetry integrated in jacket ‘n’ pants combos.

8. A minmal palette

While Ford will branch out into petrol, claret and scarlet, he’s a man who like his black and neutrals.

9. Leopard and animal prints

He’s a Texan, remember – plus who doesn’t j’adore leopard?

10. Sexy and sultry beauty

Think Carine Roitfeld’s eyes with a old school glamour hair-do.
