Tom Ford Is Back On The London Fashion Week Schedule For Autumn Winter 2013

20 December 2012 by

We've just had a look at the British Fashion Council's schedule for London Fashion Week Autumn Winter 2013 and a very high profile designer caught our eye!

Yesterday WWD reported that Mick Jagger's girlfriend L'Wren Scott will be moving to London next season for her fall 2013 collection and now it's been confirmed that Tom Ford will be showing on schedule in the UK capital for the first time. While Ford presented his Spring Summer 2013 in London last season it was via a private showcase to an exclusive list of top fashion editors. Grazia was there of course and we found ourselves utterly charmed by the devilishly handsome designer who masterminded the whole event from the clothes - which explored the relationship between chastity and perversity - to the soundtrack which he controlled on his iPad.

It's not clear yet whether Ford's Autumn Winter 2013 collection, which will debut on Monday 18th February at 7pm, will be presented in a traditional catwalk show or in a more intimate setting like last season, but the fact that the designer is listed on the official schedule has got us in a bit of a fashion flap. Surely Ford must have enough on his plate with the birth of his first son Alexander John Buckley Ford with partner Richard Buckley in September without the added stress of what would be the most buzzed about show at London Fashion Week.

One thing's for sure, if the collection is showcased in an open venue the cream of the A-list crop will be in attendance. At his first show at his Madison Avenue menswear store the designer's close celeb pals Julianne Moore and Beyoncé walked the runway alongside Karen Elson, Lauren Hutton and Daphne Guinness. As Anne Hathaway stepped out in Ford's Spring Summer 2013 collection for the New York premiere of Les Miserables next week we're taking a punt on an appearance by the Hollywood beauty.
