This week has kicked off to a flying start fashion-wise. Yesterday the Chanel Cruise 2014/15 Show was held on its own very special Chanel island in Dubai. Some of our fashion faves were out in force to join Karl Lagerfeld for the event, with Dakota Fanning, Freida Pinto, Laura Bailey, Tilda Swinton and Janelle Monae on the FROW. Dakota sported an incredible rainbow-tinted feather dress with a teensy elasticated waist, Freida teamed a ruffled crop-top with a tiered patterned maxi for ultimate beach-chic and Laura Bailey looked ready to board a yacht in a monochrome outfit and dark shades.
On Monday a whole host of our favourite stars headed to the American Ballet Theatre Gala in a series of seriously ah-mazing Lanvin frocks. Selena Gomez and Karlie Kloss were chic in monochrome frocks with quirky structural designs, Zoe Kravitz went for sparkle and Emmy Rossum opted for a backless forest green floor-sweeper.
At the X-Men premiere, Emma Roberts demonstrated how to do pastel satin in a Katie Ermillio structured frock. Over at the Godzilla premiere in London Elizabeth Olsen had the air of an old-Hollywood screen siren thanks to her sparkling Elie Saab floor-sweeper, and thanks to structured frock and Jessica Alba was cute in a patterned '50s frock.
Plus, Beyonce's been FROWing at Miami Heat's basketball games with Jay Z (despite the on-going elevator fight saga) in a series of killer outfits - we're talking a pastel Burberry combo and a denim jumpsuit.
The big style winner so far? Jennifer Lawrence. Dior might be the actress's usual designer of choice, but she decided to mix up her red carpet formula on Saturday. Rather than rock a structured Dior number for the premiere of X-Men Days Of Future Past, J-Law opted for a slinky velvet maxi. The shimmering midnight blue gown featured spaghetti straps and a subtle textured pattern. Jen teamed it with a cool side-swept do, red lipstick and dramatic earrings.
The look is similar to Fall 2014 number that Karlie Kloss sported on the runway for the US designer at New York Fashion Week in February. While J-Law kept her dress spring ready, Karlie sported a furry coat, neutral make-up and quiff ready for cooler weather.
In an interview last week, J-Law revealed she's trying not to get over-excited on the red carpet anymore because she doesn't want to be thought of as a 'GIF'.
'I’m way too annoying because I get on red carpets and I’m really hyper,' she US Marie Claire. 'Most likely because I’ve been drinking, and I can’t not photo-bomb somebody if it’s a good opportunity. It’s something I always tell myself: ‘You need to calm the [bleep] down. You don’t want to constantly be a GIF.’'
It seems she didn't stick to her plan at the weekend though. The actress had a stumble as she headed up a flight of stairs and had to be rescued by her security guards. She also stuck her tongue wildly as she took selfies with fans and boyfriend Nicholas Hoult.
