If you're still stuck for festive party outfits, then this here best dressed gallery is the perfect inspiration. This weekend's red carpets were awash with fabulous gowns and as well as Christmas inspiration, the stars gave us a preview of what we'll be wearing this spring. Yep, it seems everrrryone has been stepping out in Spring Summer 2013 creations.

Take Allison Williams (better known as Marnie in Girls) as example. She's quickly becoming our new style crush and she looked typically ah-mazing in a Spring 2013 L'Wren Scott black and red zig zag sequined dress. Speaking of style crushes, Elle Fanning looked oh-so pretty in a pink Spring 2013 Oscar de la Renta dress, which she wore with a delicate ballerina bun to the British Independent Movie Awards. We're mighty impressed with how she can so easily go from edgy in a mannish suit to princess perfection in a full-on ballgown.

On the other side of the world it was the ‘Life of Pi’ opening gala screening in Dubai, where Cate Blanchett looked stunning in a dusty blue Rodarte Spring 2013 gown. Freida Pinto also sparkled at the screening in a gold Ralph Lauren collection gown with detailed neckline.

Rihanna and Cheryl Cole both opted for Balmain this weekend, as Rihanna rocked a Spring 2013 cropped halter and leather pants by the French brand when she appeared on a German TV show. We LOVE her Chanel gold belt and Manolo Blahnik heels she paired with the look. Cheryl went for a plunging Balmain tux for the Jingle Bell Ball - it was tight and revealing but also rather androgynous, also helped by Cheryl's bouncy blow dry scraped back. Now we're on the topic of plunging necklines... the most daring look of the weekend HAS to be Andrea Riseborough who wore a cleavage baring gown to the British Independent Movie Awards. Do you love it or hate it?
