The London Collections Menswear Looks We Are Desperate To Work

17 June 2013 by

The London Collections: Men is in full swing for Spring Summer 2014 with the capital’s top talent presenting look after look of original menswear designs. From Christopher Kane and Jonathan Saunders to less well known labels like Agi & Sam, there have been a host of exciting line-ups on show. What we’ve been particularly transfixed by (unsurprisingly knowing our priorities) are the number of catwalk outfits that would fit more than comfortably into our own wardrobes.

As girls have become accustomed to guy styling (boyfriend jeans, boyfriend jackets…) and menswear designers have become more intent on bringing elements of womenswear into their collections, the blurred, unisex results have become all the more appealing. Take Richard Nicoll whose S/S 2014 collection, presented yesterday went under the title ‘S(HE)’. Created in collaboration with artist Linder Sterling, the collection’s purple silk python prints and printed sweats would definitely make for a feminine street-style statement.

On that note we thought the time was right to look through London’s menswear collections so far (the final shows will be presented tomorrow) and cherry-pick the looks which we'd most like to pinch from the lads. From Christopher Kane’s psychedelic printed tees to J.W. Anderson’s printed halters and Agi & Sam's colourful printed suiting, there’s plenty to get our acquisitive juices flowing.
