The Cara Effect? Beanie Hats Are The Most Buzzed About Topic This Week

05 April 2013 by

This week the most buzzed about fashion trend is beanie hats with an impressive 1,315 mentions. The fash pack have gone head over heals for hats, as tea cosy beanies were part of the London Fashion Week uniform. Hmm has this got a little something to do with a certain blonde model of the moment we wonder? Cara Delevingne is rarely seen without a knitted beanie on top of her head, and there is now a growing copy-cat army of hat-clad hipsters.

The fashion forecasting experts at EDITD have once again shared with Grazia Daily the most buzzed about trends on the web over the past seven days. Just behind beanies with 860 mentions is Peter Pan collars, which we reckon has a little something to do with the Topshop collar dress Kate Middleton wore to visit Child Bereavement UK. We're not surprised it has caused a spike in collar chatter as this is one of our all-time fave K Mids looks.

Elastic waists also received 292 online mentions thanks to the national chocolate binge last weekend. Culottes, cut-out boots and leather totes also made the cut of the six most buzzed about trends, so bear that in mind if you find yourself at the shops this weekend. Find out what are the most buzzed about trends online in the infographic below...

As beanies came out top this week, we have rounded up the best headgear at fashion week, from candy pink letterman beanies to Jourdan Dunn's classic black knit to ultra hip Trapstar beanies. Take a look in the gallery below to get some hat-spiration...
