L-R: Kate wearing L.K. Bennett, Alexander McQueen, Armani, Catherine Walker and Beulah London
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge won't be enjoying a candlelit meal for two on Valentine's Day next Friday, as Kate has got a solo engagement in her royal diary. While we imagine William will be left at home holding the baby, his wife is due to attend Northolt High School in Ealing, London in order to open the ICAP Art Room.
This will be the 32-year-old's second official appearance in 2014, after a very busy 2013, which saw the birth of her first child, Prince George. Three days before she is scheduled to pay a visit to the National Portrait Gallery in London. The Duchess rounded off last year by attending the Christmas Day service at Sandringham in King's Lynn accompanied by her husband and the Queen.
On Valentine's Day, staff and pupils at Northold High School will greet Kate before she gets to experience The Art Room. The style icon has been a patron of the charity, which offers therapy to children between the ages of five and 16, since 2012. At another event last year she said, "I am a firm believer in the power of art to make a difference, and The Art Room is providing this on a daily basis."
We all know Kate is a fan of literal dressing from wearing a cowgirl hat in Calgary to stepping out in a cable knit at Wimbledon, but might she pay homage to the day of romance by choosing to add a dash of red to her outfit next Friday? She's previously worn a red L.K Bennett coat dress on Poppy Day and a green Emilia Wickstead coat on St Patrick's Day so we wouldn't be surprised if she opted for rouge.
