The Best Christmas Store Windows of 2014!

10 December 2013 by

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…. To shop. Aside from our favourite stores currently being stacked to the rafters with endlessly covetable wares, the capital’s superb shop fronts are seriously getting us into the Christmassy mood. Every year some of the most talented visual merchandisers and artists come together to create vignettes of festive fun and this year there are plenty of beautiful and witty windows. Take Selfridges’ Destination Christmas themed displays streching the length of the store's impressive facade. Complete with blown-up iconic Christmas buys – think Charlotte Olympia’s kitty slippers, parachuting Kenzo sweaters and Givenchy’s high tops - the snow peak covered windows also provide a home for countless penguins

Over at Harvey Nichols, the windows are all about creating a kaleidoscope of colour with different wavelengths of light resembling modern day stain-glass. Mulberry’s Brompton Road windows have been inspired by the magic of the British countryside - read the full store here - while Harrods’ windows depict an uber chic train journey with the most elegant first class carriage we’ve ever seen. Then over at Liberty, they've got gorgeous gifts bursting out of the windows with graphic cartoon captions.

So while you're stocking up on socks for dad and scent for your mum, just make sure take the time to marvel at the ingenious creativity that has gone into making London's windows so damn pretty. Let us know which Christmas windows have impressed you and why either in the comments box below, or on Grazia's Facebook page. Happy Shopping!
