This was a weekend of weddings as Kate Bosworth wed director Michael Polish in Big Sur. By the looks of things it was everything you would expect from the Coachella loving couple, as there were polaroid cameras and whisky. But over in Monaco things were a little grander as Andrea Casiraghi, the son of Princess Caroline of Monaco, married Tatiana Santo Domingo.

The groom is the grandson of Grace Kelly and the bride is a billionaire heiress so we knew this was gonna be chic. Let's start with the most important thing... the dress. Tatiana was a bohemian bride in a bespoke Missoni wedding gown which she paired with a floral garland and silver sandals. No Jimmy Choos? This is a royal rule-breaker.

The house describes the gown as 'a fan neck V neck and three-quarter length sleeves, with a bodice embroidered with raffia and silk thread. The full-length circle skirt features a macrame effect supported by two layers of silk organza that matched her son Sasha's bloomers.' She looked effortless - Grandma Grace would have been proud.

It's hardly a shocker that she wore Missoni rather than McQueen or Vera Wang, as she is best friends with Margherita and Teresa Missoni. She also wore Missoni to the pre-wedding dinner with her bridesmaids on Princess Caroline's luxury yacht Pacha III. As on her wedding day, she paired her red Missoni dip-dye dress with a floral garland.

So how royal is Tatiana's frock? Never ones to miss an opportunity to drool over Vera Wang we've taken a trip down memory lane to tot up the finest princess dresses EVER. So from Grace Kelly's lacy number to Lady Diana's major meringue, join us as we get somewhat wistful via the gallery below...
