Hello Boys: The Arsenal First Team In Lanvin (Lanvin)
It's Friday and there is really no better way to toast the start of the weekend than looking at some handsome sports men in suits, so as if by magic, we deliver you just that and all wrapped up in Lanvin. Do not adjust your screen, yes, we are talking about football and it doesn't revolve around David Beckham in his pants.
Yes, a little known football club by the name of Arsenal named the French fashion house, Lanvin as its Official Tailor. Lanvin will now adorn all of the club’s first-team players and the team’s manager, Arsène Wenger for all official Club appearances and when they arrive to kick the ball around the pitch on official games. It makes tuning into football seem worthwhile and perhaps the lads may even appear, dancing around in some very Lanvin adverts? Fingers crossed!
This is the first time the house, which is the definition of Parisian chic, has teamed up with a football team and the range will be unveiled for Arsenal’s premiership match against Southampton this Saturday. The partnership will last for two seasons - that’s right, two whole seasons of sassiness.

The formal wear, designed by Lucas Ossendrijver of Lanvin Homme, combines the best characteristics of a well-tailored Lanvin suit with the iconography of Arsenal. The suits in a midnight blue shade form the backdrop to the club’s famous gun crest, which appears in a flash of gold on the front of the jackets. Players will team their fresh off the peg suave suits with a slim fit white poplin cotton shirt with the option of either a red silk tie or bow tie. The finishing touches will be the gold Arsenal cufflinks. Swooning, us? Of course!
When asked about the partnership Vinai Venkatesham, Arsenal’s Sales and Marketing Director, said, "we are delighted to welcome Lanvin to the Club as our Official Tailor. The fashion house has a remarkable history and proud heritage, and is an institution in its field. The suits are a classic design, and will give players and staff a unified and stylish appearance.”

We couldn’t agree more Vinai, the lads look sensational in their suits. Perhaps the best ambassador for the partnership is one of ‘gunners’ players, Olivier Giroud. Being French himself, Olivier wears the Lanvin suits with a certain amount of oh-la-la. Olivier has indeed, thankfully, already instagramed a selfie of himself wearing the suit. FYI he is definitely worth an instagram follow, his selfie posts are boarderline sublime.
If only they could wear them on the pitch too which would bring a whole new meaning to suited and booted. Now give yourself a couple of minutes to peruse the images and mop up that drool afterwards. Thank you, Lanvin!
