The International Woolmark Prize is a huge deal, as it launched the careers of industry greats such as Yves Saint Laurent and Karl Lagrfeld. Now the prize has just announced its 2014-2015 nominees, which includes British brands Paula Gerbase and Agi & Sam.

It is also worth noting that this is the first time that there will be separate categories for menswear and womenswear. The overall winners will win £50,000 and have their collections stocked by the likes of Harvey Nichols and Mytheresa.com. To begin with regional awards take place in Europe, America, Asia, Australia and India, which is then narrowed down to 10 finalists with the final award ceremonies taking place in February-March next year.

At this year's final back in February we spoke to Woolmark judge Alexa Chung about the process. She said to Grazia Daily about her role: 'They called and asked me to be on the judging panel and it's not something I'd done before, but I looked into their work and I thought it was great that they support young designers. So in a selfish capacity, I was just excited to be introduced to new things.'

2. The Kooples launch project TK Foundry...

Just when you think The Kooples couldn't get any cooler, they launch a new cultural project TK Foundry. The first release has landed, 'Today, Tonight,' which follows a British couple (or should we say Koople) in the iconic 1950s Rock n Roll Ace Cafe, where we catch them in a game of 'the coin drop.' The film is directed by Grammy-nominated directors Fred & Nick who said about the film: 'It's rare to find a world so rich in stories and characters, and one that has played such a pivotal role in British Culture. More than motorbikes and Rock n Roll, the Ace Cafe was one of a handful of muster points across the country for the most of post-war teenage revolution.' The film will also make you want to shop as she wears a black dress with sheer panels, £210, and black skirt with leather pockets, £135.

3. Jimmy Choo pops up in Selfridges...

Today (Monday) a Jimmy Choo pop-up store will open in Selfridges, to celebrate their brand new direction under Creative Director Sandra Choi. The month-long pop-up celebrates the brand's new rock n' roll attitude - CHOO.08° - which is named after their creative centre n London. Selfridges will have slip on trainers, animal-print slippers and high tops. You can also shop the collection online at Selfridges.com...

4. Westfield is about to change how you shop (again)...

Westfield are changing the way we shop as they have launched their first ever app #editme, powered by Snap Fashion, which is a search engine that uses your image to search for product matches. You can upload a photo of a look you love, which will then bring up three outfit recommendations based on your style. Cool huh? Or you can simply browse the site swatting up on the latest trends.
