Good Shoes News: Sophia Webster For J.Crew Is Coming - You'll Soon Be Able To Shop The Full Collection!

22 April 2014 by

Thank goodness for good news: the salvation to a serious sugar slump comes in the form of Sophia Webster’s collection for J.Crew. It’s the superstore’s latest curation and we’ve been on a countdown since the footwear collaboration was first announced last September, and then presented at the stalwart’s biannual lounge show in New York.

The British accessories designer has been going from strength to strength since debuting in Spring/Summer 2013. Can you believe it’s only been a year? Her spirited, cartoony styles are unlike no other, and serve as retail catnip across her many high profile stockists. On the celebrity circuit she has taken some impressive strides: Solange Knowles, Dree Hemingway, Rihanna and Jennifer Lawrence head up Sophia’s girlish girl gang. But this big American stamp of approval supplies the next push into the world domination…

These 13 pairs of shoes have created more hype than a hype man, and that’s mostly down to the fact that the designer’s signatures are all in place – candy-fun stilettos, single soles, cyber-cute prints, whimsical detailing – but they come with a very tempting J.Crew price point. While the US can get their happy feet into these wondrous wares now, we will have to wait in the UK. Early May is the launch date; you will be able to shop online at and from the Brompton Cross store in London.

'Sophia Webster is one of the most exciting and talented British designers. Her shoes are like miniature sets - a beautiful world for your feet to spend the day in,' says Jenna Lyons, who first reached out to Miss Webster. Tom Mora, the company's head of women's design teamed up with Sophia to get this collection onto shopfloors, 'J.Crew always looks for something that has a little fun to it — we never want to take ourselves too seriously — and we all agreed these shoes put a smile on your face,' says Tom. 'Sophia Webster seemed like such a natural fit for J.Crew.' Agreed. And a natural fit for our wardrobes, too.
