Sharon Stone in Cavalli in Cannes
Sharon Stone might be 55 years old, but she’s able to teach the younger generation of Hollywooders a thing or two about putting on the razzle dazzle for the paps.
Stone was pictured last night at the Behind the Candelabra premiere (A riot of feather boas and fabulous gayness starring Michael Douglas as Liberace and Matt Damon as his younger lover) and at jewellery brand, De Grisogono's party, after spending a day on Roberto Cavalli’s fabulous yacht, which is moored in the harbour of the French town.
Her first red carpet look was a dazzlingly embellished and daringly low-cut Roberto Cavalli gown in deepest electric blue. In case anyone was in doubt of Stone’s overpowering fashion wattage, she teamed the beaded dress with a monumental diamond and emerald multi-strand neckpiece and a pair of suitably carat-heavy doorknocker diamond earrings.
But after the premiere, the night was still young, and this being the 66th Cannes Film Festival, there was more partying to be done. Sharon rocked up at her second appointment of the evening, the De Grisogono Party at the Hotel Du Cap, in yet another plunging Roberto Cavalli gown.

This time Stone went for a slightly more revealing number, in scarlet red with a ruched cutaway section and thigh-high split that would give Angelina Jolie cause for concern. Oh - and a different jewellery look. This time Sharon went for some huge earrings and a chunky diamond-encrusted bracelet. Ms Stone, we salute you – you’ve definitely still got it.
