Selena Gomez Paints The Town Green For Adidas Neo Commercial: VIDEO

UPDATE: Her relationship might be a little rocky but that hasn't stopped Selena Gomez for painting the town red - or rather lime green. Earlier this month, Adidas Neo announced the 20-year-old as the new 'global style icon' and guest designer so what did Selena do? She went all sporty on us in a cosy beanie, lumberjack shirt and lashings of gold jewellery (totes gangsta-glam), rallied a group of friends and caused a whole lot of havoc. Well, that's what happens in this just-released-commercial for the label, anyway. Watch it in full below...

21 November 2012: Adidas Announce Selena Gomez As Global Style Icon & Guest Designer

Selena Gonez and Justin Bieber have the ultimate yo-mance, but they have found fashion synchrony landing the same role at Addidas' NEO label. Gomez's latest fash-gig is a 'global style icon' and guest designer for Adidas NEO label, for three years starting from Autumn Winter 2013.

She will also be the face of four seasonal collections, appearing in the print, digital, retail and outdoor ad campaigns from February. Perhaps they are sticking to the motto 'those who have an ad campaign together, stay together,' as Biebs is also the face of the Adidas Neo sportswear label.

Selena swapped her usual Dolce and Versace red carpet gowns for a grey beanie, hi-tops, a skull tee, jeans and a checked shirt (all Adidas of course) for the announcement party last night in LA. Recently she has been the polar opposite of Biebs' casual style, but in her Adidas gear they are a match made in sportswear heaven. Our only request Selena is that you stay away from wearing red basketball shorts à la Justin.

Selena said about the collab: “I am really enjoying being involved with the design process and NEO is letting me have fun with this. I get to wear the clothes first and have a voice and an opinion and I can’t wait to see the results of our new collection.  I’m excited that it also allows my fans to be involved and they can come with me on this journey.”

But she fessed up to Teen Vogue that she also feels like an underdog: "They know all the hip stuff, so I almost feel like the underdog coming in and learning about the whole design process." We're sure the Biebs can help you out as he's been Mr Adidas since October.
