In this week's Grazia deputy fashion news and features editor Hannah Almassi writes about the Spring 13 Mary Katrantzou x Current/Elliott collection
Mary Katrantzou is one of London Fashion Week’s hottest tickets, while LA denim label Current/Elliott has created more It jeans than we can shake a court shoe at. So imagine our delight on discovering that the two mega powers would collaborate for spring/summer ’13. We first saw a hint of the collection during Mary’s catwalk show last September, but now D Day (Denim Day) has finally arrived. Hurrah!
This week's issue of Grazia features the S/S 13 collection which has Katrantzou visa, passport, postage stamp and banknote print patterns all over it. The beauty of the collection is you can wear one printed piece or three, as the muted colours make head-to-toe pattern clashing a viable option.
‘I love that we can offer the MK woman something casual and fun,’ Mary told Grazia of the 23-piece collection. ‘And it’s a complete range: dresses, jackets, skirts and tops, as well as jeans. You can mix and match the denim because it’s such a versatile fabric.’
Pick up a copy of this week's mag to see the full feature on the collection or download it onto your iPad so you can shop all the pieces straight from the page. But for now take a look at the collection in the gallery below and shop the collection at MatchesFashion.com. Happy shopping!
