See Altuzarra's First Ever Ad Campaign Starring Stella Tennant Shot By Inez & Vinoodh

It’s been a season full of first campaigns for some of the industry’s most exiting designers. J.W. Anderson debuted his first ad lensed by long-time collaborator, photographer Jamie Hawksworth (you may remember his pics were featured on J Dubs’ Topshop collection tees) and styled by Benjamin Bruno. Then Simone Rocha joined the gang with a Dazed & Confused double spread: a close up of her pink jacket and coats pockets captured by Jacob Lillis.

Now Joseph Altuzarra – aka the promising bright young thing on the NYFW circuit - has joined the burgeoning ad army. Usually the spoils of super-wealthy conglomerates, the new guard are thinking BIG to push their brands into the future.

With the very expert help of Brit model Stella Tennant and photography duo, the formidable Inez & Vinoodh, Altuzarra’s first ever campaign looks chic, clean and very grown up indeed. There's an almost a powerful '80s vibe to the black and white photography and slicked hair/ferocious stance of Tennant. Well, his clothes are perfect fodder for femme fatales of the world – ranging from his muse and oft-inspiring Carine Roitfeld through to Hollywood hotcakes like Kate Bosworth or Jennifer Lawrence.

This ad came to fruition when Mr Altuzarra was awarded the Kate Spade New York branding initiative as par of the CFDA and Vogue Fashion Fund’s project to assist designers in taking their brands to the next level. As well as producing the creative for this ad, Kate Spade New York have also funded the ad space, resulting in a pretty high profile ad-get in the September issue of Vogue US.

So until we can enjoy another Altuzarra show at the forthcoming fashion week (countdown to kick-off: 17 days!) just ogle the clever sculpting of his thigh-slit shift dress and those OTK boots the fashion world are going crazy for…
