Rosie Huntington-Whiteley certainly knows how to work it on camera. As a model with the plumpest pout, she's posed for Burberry and Marks & Spencers as well as lingerie giant Victoria's Secret. But now she's flexing her muscles behind the camera, as she landed the role of creative director on a shoot with gap-toothed beauty Jessica Paré.
For the Violet Grey editorial, the Mad Men actress goes poolside at Robert Evans’ Estate in Beverly Hills in a vintage one piece, Lorraine Schwartz diamonds, a Madame Grès headscarf and sunny Manolos. It's textbook Old Hollywood with Ms Paré dripping in glamour. The location is the perfect spot for the story as it was the playground of photographers Helmut Newton and Slim Aarons. But this is a beauty - not fashion - shoot and so it's the Chanel red fingertips, rouge pout and Illamasqua metallic lids that have our radar bleeping. Snaps from us Rosie, you done good.
Violet Grey writes: 'When choosing creative partners for VIOLET GREY, Rosie was someone we had to work with. She is wildly talented and thoroughly understands how to capture elusive moments of beauty. Rosie was set on shooting Jessica Paré. She was enamored with her original beauty and elegance.'
Rosie also turns interviewer asking Jessica classic quick fire questions, such as 'what books are on your nightstand at the moment?' and 'what is your greatest weakness?' Then she throws in some curveballs, asking what her favourite sandwich filling is and what is in her medicine cabinet.
Rosie is turning into a lady of many talents having dabbled in acting, starring in Transformers 3 and designing her Marks and Spencers undies collection - and this is yet another string to add to her bow. One thing is for sure; here at Grazia HQ we want to see more of your work, RHW!
