We fell in love with Rosamund Pike when she played the fancy glamazon in An Education alongside Carey Mulligan and adored her chilling turn as a (gasp) intelligent Bond girl in Die Another Day. But it's her red carpet turns that have kept us enthralled away from the silver screen (see the gallery above for proof). From Alexander McQueen gowns to flirty-and-funky Peter Pilotto numbers, the actress always hits the right note and is forever backing British. So how pleased are we to hear L.K.Bennett have cast Lady Pike as the face of their Spring Summer 2013 campaign? Well, very.

'Rosamund’s English charm and celebrated career make her the ideal ambassador,' the L.K. team said this morning and they're not wrong - this is no brain-dead clothes horse. In fact, Rosamund is an Oxford graduate who's garnered amble stage experience in several Shakespeare plays as well as many a film role. What's more, at 33, her refined beauty is perfect for representing the sophisticated brand who counts a certain Duchess of Cambridge as a fan.

L.K.Bennett are certainly delighted with their new muse. 'Her beauty and intelligence in the roles she has played on film are captivating,' says Didier Drouet, the brand's CEO. 'The energy and life she brings to the images perfectly encapsulate the L.K.Bennett woman.' Hear, hear!

To prove Drouet's point, a shot of the campaign for the brand’s latest collection has already landed [above left], shot by photographer Mariano Vivanco and styled by Cathy Kasterine. The shoot took place in Belgravia (where else, darling) in a quintessentially British location that over-looks Buckingham Palace Gardens. Wonder if K-Middy popped in for a cuppa? Rosamund, who is currently starring alongside Tom Cruise in Jack Reacher, looks confident striking a pose in the collection's ladylike tailoring and classic pieces.

'I think that L.K.Bennett is the perfect brand for the working woman because it gives you that ability to feel dressed and polished without feeling overdone and I think that is the key to making you feel good and giving you confidence,' says our Rosamund. 'It gives you freedom to play and that’s what makes clothes exciting.'

The Spring/Summer 2013 collections are available instore and at www.lkbennett.com from January 2013.
