On Monday, Rita Ora was celebrating her 22nd birthday with Cara Delevingne and the following night, the pair were hitting the red carpet for the British Fashion Awards 2012. 'I was in the country with my family and friends and we got drunk and had a good night,' the songstress told us in her husky tones. 'Cara's a great human'. That was clear to see when Rita larked about with her catwalking bestie at yesterday's bash, posing for the paps with their arms wrapped round each other (witness our Instagram snaps for proof).

The blonde bombshell arrived for the event swathed in a gorgeously feminine bustier gown by Vivienne Westwood and exclusively told Grazia Daily, 'I've always been a fan of Vivienne and I think she's one of the definitions of British fashion so I thought I would go for a classic'.

It was a saavy move, which comes as no surprise considering Rita's been reading her Grazia. 'I was literally just reading Grazia!' she said when we grabbed her on the red carpet. 'I was looking at your comments on my MTV EMAs dress. That was a special dress.' So what does she make of her glamour-meets-grunge vibe being compared to Rihanna's? 'I think she's cool, but we couldn't be any more different, she said adamantly. 'She's from the Islands and I'm from Kosovo.' 

2012 has certainly been quite the ride for Rita who has become the hottest star on planet pop. Not only has she bagged a brilliantly bonkers BFF, but earlier this year Superga announced that the singer would be replacing ultimate hipster Alexa Chung as the face of the brand.

'I could talk about this all day!' she trilled about the collaboration. 'It's amazing, I'm excited. I love their brand and they know that I love wearing flats when I perform. It's a great thing to be a part of and fits very well with my vibe.'

Rita might have been rubbing shoulders with Alexa at the ceremony, but she didn't take the chance to grill her for Superga tips. 'I was looking at Alexa's pictures thinking, "She looks so great, what if I don't do as great as her?" but it's a completely different shoot. It's more about how my style is.'
