Flippin' eck didn't Dame Helen Mirren look fabulous when she stepped out at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Hong Kong's 50th anniversary? Wearing a red lace Dolce & Gabanna number over a white slip, the 68-year-old also donned black crucifix accessories; a waist belt and chunky earrings teamed with a slash of fierce red lipstick.
Just over two weeks earlier however, we spied the Dolce dress elsewhere... On Rita Ora to be exact; performing at Unity: A Concert For Stephen Lawrence at London's O2 Arena alongside Emilie Sande, Dizzee Rascal, Rizzle Kicks, Ellie Goulding and Ed Sheeran. The pop star styled out the dress differently to Helen, instead choosing to team it with a black leotard and gold crucifix accossories, this time in the form of earrings and a necklace, and a sleek 'do that's a far cry from her current look which we're choosing to call scarecrow chic.
But which one of the stars wore the dress better? While we're totally loving a more refined look for Rita, normally known for her bright, bold and zany outfits, we can't help thinking that the veteran Helen Mirren might have pipped her younger counterpart to the post in this instance. But it's not up to us, this is your chance to have your say. Fancy Helen's grown-up evening chic? Or Rita's onstage glamour with peekaboo undergarment?
