If you didn't already know, trainers are in! If they're not wedged high a-la Isabel Marant, they're colourful and chunky or slim lined and high topped. Spotted adorning the feet of many an A-lister and cool kid on the block, as well as fashionistas the world over. Rita Ora even recently swagged up 'wifey' Cara Delevingne by gifting her a pair. Instant fashion kudos without a blister or sore foot in sight, what more could you ask for?
Adidas further ensures the trend is here to stay with the return of the Stan Smith. Yes, that's right, the iconic silhouette, created in the '70s and made legendary by the tennis player who is the shoes namesake, is back! Marking their return from a two-year hiatus, the brand have supplied Platform 6 art exhibition with 20 classic Stan White tennis shoes for a selection of their exhibiting artists and patrons to customise. These include none other than the likes of Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Sir Elton John and Kylie Minogue.
The creations will be on display (and up for auction!) from the 7th - 14th of September and money raised will be in aid of the civil rights charity Stonewall, which works for equality and justice for lesbians, gay men and bisexuals. The patrons are said to have been chosen for their social and professional relevance, as well as their willingness to support the LGB community.
