It was only a few days ago that we were professing our obsession with new model on the block, Natalie Westling. As we noted, she follows in the loopy-locked tresses of rainbow-kid Chloe Norgaard and candyfloss cutie Charlotte Free thanks to her striking vermillion mane.
Last season, she opened the Marc Jacobs Spring Spring 2014 show and went on to walk for Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton among others. This season, she first popped up at Prabal Gurung before hitting the Vera Wang catwalk and today, we spotted her at Marc By Marc Jacobs. It was backstage at the show that hair legend Guido name-checked Natalie as the model to watch. So does the Arizona-born beauty feel about such an honour?
'Hearing that for the first time is such an epic experience, thank you!' she beamed when we passed on the complement. 'I'm so grateful to be part of this show, this career, this industry... it's so big and everything about it is so amazing.' What a cutie!

As well as having a traffic light tresses on her side, Natalie cites Marc Jacobs and Katie Grand as being instrumental to her career. 'They are two of my biggest supporters and it's such an honour to be a part of their team,' she says. 'They pushed me to dye my hair this colour and take many leaps of faith, which has been great.'
Yes, it was just a week ago that the catwalker went such a vibrant shade of red to shoot the Marc Jacobs beauty campaign. It follows her appearance alongside Miley Cyrus in the brand's Spring Summer 2014 campaign when she first showcased an auburn mane. 'Marc is such a genuine guy; I love working with him.' As for other designers, she hails Hedi Slimane 'for being so individual.'

So will she be sticking to the red hue or going back to her natural blonde? 'It's great to be so different to all the other models around here. No one else has this colour so it's giving me a great opportunity, but I've tried so many different colours that you never know...' Watch this space.
