Reading and Leeds Festival 2013

27 August 2013 by

It’s been a mad festival season and the end is almost in sight. Models 1 has been on the festivals front line throughout the summer and this weekend, they took to Reading and Leeds Festivals as the official scouts. They had a six-strong team head down to the fun in order to find seek out the freshest faces. They were joined by a batch of their top models - say hello to Lydia Graham, Michelene Auguste, Shenyue, George Threadingham, Will Higginson, Max Barreau and Jordan Goodenough. Check out what they got up to with this exclusive festival diary, complete with insider images...
The weather wasn’t perfect but the success of the trip meant that we couldn’t have cared less. Some of the guys and girls we spotted were some of the best faces we have ever seen. The Models 1 team were all attending as special guests which meant that we were lucky enough to seek refuge in the ‘Guest Bar’ whilst rubbing shoulders with Skindred, Bastille & Kodaline.
As a festival goer was overheard saying ‘Reading is all about the bands’ and we couldn’t have agreed more. Just a few of the talented acts that we managed to see, in between working, included Azealia Banks, Haim, Chase and Status, Skindred, Bastille, Green Day, Biffy Clyro, Hadouken!, Disclosure, Tame Impala, Swim Deep and Splashh but the act that really took our breath away was, but of course, Eminem.

Exhausted from the day’s work, we almost backed out but as the music began to roll and the curtain came up we felt the goose bumps raise on our arms and we suddenly realised just how overwhelming this moment was. He got the crowd jumping within seconds while performing his award winning music for over an hour but the real game changer came when Dido joined the stage for a performance of ‘Stan’.
This trip was one of the best yet but our festival season is not yet over! Next up we have Electric Picnic and then Berlin Festival so keep watching this space…
