Rag & Bone's Latest DIY Campaign Starring Models Marie Ange Casta And Nana: EXCLUSIVE

02 October 2013 by

Jessica HartIn April we brought you the home made ad campaign Aussie supermodel Jessica Hart shot for Rag & Bone, and now French actress Marie Ange Casta and Japanese actress Nana have picked up a Rag & Bone camera and followed suit. The DIY project, which began in 2011, has already seen super-hot types like Miranda Kerr, Candice Swanepoel and Jourdan Dunn given a digital camera, a bag of clothes and free reign to interpret Rag & Bone however they please. And the result? An intimate and raw collection of photos that depict each girl's personality.

And now it's Marie Ange and Nana’s turn, with the models taking us to their favourite places for their take on the label’s aesthetic. Marie Ange took to the streets of Paris for her shoot, where she posed by a host of iconic landmarks, including the banks of the Seine and the Tuileries Garden. “Paris is a magnificent city where I’ve been living for the past five years and I wanted to highlight my French origins in the picture,” she said, of the inspiration behind the shoot, which sees the doe-eyed beauty looking wonderful in a white vest and jeans shirt.

Nana’s shoot meanwhile took place in Shibuya (Tokyo – yeah, us neither, unfortunately), a place close to her heart, as it is where she had first been discovered. “I was discovered by a model agent so Shibuya is to me a place where my career started. Also it has become my dream place to my home over the years.” One capture in particular sees Nana dressed in monochrome walking the opposite way to a surging crowd over a zebra crossing. "The noise, the smell, the drunken people - I felt like I tasted the fast changing city very slowly through the night."

"We chose Marie Ange and Nana for the D.I.Y. Project as they're both exciting new international talent. They also happen to look great in rag & bone/JEAN! ," said Rag & Bone’s Marcus Wainwright.
