Chanel Sister Act: Poppy And Cara Delevingne At The Chanel Metiers d’Art Show In Scotland

05 December 2012 by

Last night Chanel had a fling with the Highlands as Karl Lagerfeld presented the annual Chanel Metiers d’Art collection in Linlithgow Palace, the birthplace of Mary Stuart, Queen of Scots. Alongside models Stella Tennant and Edie Campbell on the catwalk and front row guests Caroline Sieber and Derek Blasberg, our favourite fashion sisters were in attendance.

It was like a flashback to fashion month when British Fashion Council ambassador Poppy Delevingne proudly supported her little sibling as she completed a runway marathon. At London Fashion Week the blonde beauty, who sat front row at most of Cara’s shows, told Grazia Daily that Chanel would be a dream to walk in "because it's such a spectacle and there's always an awesome stage scenario, whether it's an iceberg or a barn yard." Last night British Fashion Awards Model of the Year Cara took to the catwalk with the seal of approval from Karl Lagerfeld and, of course, Poppy was there to experience the magical moment along with her.

The pair tweeted pictures before the show including the Scottish textiles and prints that Cara got the opportunity to wear on the runway and a giant Chanel No.5 bottle. Poppy also turned into quite the poet when she posted a photo of the extravagant venue with the caption “The snow is coming in and the show is about to begin.”

Ben Vogelsang (Sun Jan 20 12:12:57 GMT 2013): This is my take on this struck me as the best summary of the Linlithgow event in one image..the wall..the perfume..the model...the wit..and the dreaming through one girls eyes of a Chanel coloured world. It really works. Cara and Co have advertising gold here- above and beyond! Many thanks to all.
