This week caught up with pop sensation Pixie Lott asked her about her ultimate style icons, shopping tips and new accessories collection. Pixie has teamed up with jewellery and headwear brand Rock 'N Rose to create a 22-piece collection for Christmas. The range includes floral headbands and layered necklaces that Pixie models herself in the campaign images showcased in the gallery above. The collection is available from today at rocknrose.co.uk.
What was the inspiration behind your Rock 'N Rose collection?
It is very vintage inspired and also has more modern statement necklaces and quirkier pieces like floral crowns, cat ears, and 60s bows.
Which is your favourite piece from the collection?
I love the floral crowns especially ‘Avigail’ to spice up the winter season. Also, I love the everyday pieces like the ‘Carla’ necklace and the ‘Rachel’ ring.
Did you have anyone particular in mind when you were designing?
I just wanted to make this collection completely in my style, so every piece is something that I adore and would wear myself.
Who is your ultimate style icon and why?
It would have to be Edie Sedgwick because she is quirky and 60s classic at the same time.
What three items should every girl have in her wardrobe?
A floral crown, an LBD and a pair of Brogues!
What’s been your biggest fashion faux pas?
I did a festival in Leeds a few years ago and my zip came undone while I was on stage!
Which shops do you rely on?
I always rely on Selfridges because it covers everything I could ever want, I like Browns and Sandro where I recently got some coats from!
Who are your go-to British designers?
Definitely Christopher Kane and Coco Fennell who does great dresses for the daytime and the evening!
What's been the highlight of your career so far?
Recording with Stevie Wonder and performing with Lionel Richie was incredible, but my Crazy Cat tour was the most fun I have ever had!
Who would be your dream artist to collaborate with?
I always dreamed of recording with Stevie Wonder and was lucky enough for that to happen but for the new album I want to keep it simple with less collaborations because we are taking a slightly different more soulful direction.
You’re a front row regular - what’s been your favourite London Fashion Week show you’ve attended so far?
The Moschino Cheap and Chic show earlier this year.
Which Autumn/ Winter 2012 trend would you most like to try?
Statement necklaces are a must have this winter, so I am excited to wear my ‘Charlie Ann’ and ‘Lauren’ pieces for Christmas with dresses or under collared shirts.
