Now that the Duchess of Cambridge is on what we normal folk refer to as 'maternity leave' ahead of her due date next month, it's up to her sister Pippa to champion Middleton style. Kate's little sister did a sterling job as she attended the wedding of Lady Melissa and Thomas van Straubenzee in Ainwick yesterday in a monochrome printed Tabitha Webb peplum dress. But hang on a minute, haven't we seen this number somewhere before? No, Pippa hasn't done a K-Middy and recycled her ensemble, but she has stepped out in exactly the same frock as Kelly Brook wore in London last month.
While actress Brook wore hers with a pair of peep-toe platforms, Pippa opted for pointed courts and a fascinator decorated with feathers and pearls at what was dubbed 'the society wedding of the year'. Kelly has recently been spotted wearing a lot of peplum frocks, as the trend shows off her pin-up figure, and similarly Pippa, who was greeted by cries of "beautiful" as she arrived at the church yesterday, is also a fan. She wore a peplum dress by Project D to Wimbledon last year and a purple peplum dress to launch her party planning tome in the Netherlands in October.
And it turns out a passion for peplum isn't the only thing these seemingly polar opposite brunettes have in common. Neither of them have ever won 'Rear of the Year' either, a fact that we're completely baffled by. Perhaps this dress could finally ensure that one of Kel or Pip take home the crowning glory this year. They've got our vote!
But who wore peplum better? Let us know in the comments below!
