Peaches Geldof has been found dead, aged 25. Police confirmed they were called to an address in Wrotham, following a report for concern about the welfare for a young woman. ‘At this stage, the death is being treated as unexplained and sudden,’ said a statement from Kent Police.

Bob Geldof has issued the following family statement:

'Peaches has died. We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is. Tom and her sons Astala and Phaedra will always belong in our family, fractured so often, but never broken. Bob, Jeanne, Fifi, Pixie and Tiger Geldof.'

Her husband, Tom said: ‘Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons...and I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts everyday.’ Last night Peaches tweeted a picture of herself as a toddler in her late mother’s arms on Instagram, with caption, ‘me and my Mum.’ Paula died of a drugs overdose in 2000 when Peaches was just 11.

Born in 1989, Peaches Honeyblossom Geldof started a career in the media at the age of 15 when she had her own column for Elle Girl. She left home aged 16 and has since gone on to model and host TV shows including ITV2’s OMG! With Peaches Geldof.

She married Thomas from the band S.C.U.M in September 2012 at a church in Davington, where her mother's funeral took place. Speaking in 2013, Peaches said she had not come to terms with her mother’s death for many years. "I remember the day my mother died, and it's still hard to talk about it. I just blocked it out. I went to school the next day because my father's mentality was 'keep calm and carry on'," she said.

Peaches has admitted in the past to experimenting with drugs, but said she ‘was never that wild.’ She married rock star Max Drummey in a whirlwind wedding in Las Vegas in 2008, but they separated a year later.
