We're in Paris! There's chic and glamour, Kendall and Rihanna, and too many gorgeous bags for our wishlist. Stay track of our every move by taking a look inside our editor's diary above and read on for some of the highlights so far...
1. J'adore Dior
Surely one of the biggest shows on the Paris Fashion Week schedule, Dior had us super-excited. For starters, we found a gift from Raf Simons, aka: Mr Dior himself, waiting in our hotel room. A giant white Dior bag tied with a bow held a box of dazzling beauty treats from pink lip glosses to gliterring eyeshadows. Needless to say, we couldn't resist dabbing a little on pre-show. Inside the dazzling venue, the fash-pack were welcomed by rainbow coloured lights adorning the ceiling. 'I wanted to approach the idea of a city as an abstraction,' Raf Simons said. Meanwhile, we spotted Rihanna on the front row and fell in love with the futuristic cut out wedges on the catwalk. For a full review of the collection, hope over to Susannah Frankel's show report.
2. Wish list alert: the new Kenzo bag
A '50s soundtrack, ladies serving popcorn, a polished collection and a David Lynch designed set - the Kenzo show was a happy start to our second day in Paris. The brand is known and loved for brilliant accessories and Autumn Winter 2014 is no different. They came in colours as violent as the clothes they were worn with, from shoes that were wedge-heeled and studiously ugly to sunglasses that were mirrored. Our favourite? The oversized clutch bags that read FOREVER, NO? Yes! Read Susannah's full show report here.
3. Rihanna storms the FROW
The lady causing the most carnage at PFW? It's RiRi! Without a peep from Kim Kardashian (yet), it's been all about Rihanna taking the front row spotlight, from rocking up to Balmain *ahem* after the show to donning lashings of fur for Jean Paul Gaultier's extravanganza. Catch up on her best FROW outfits here.
4. Chanel's supermarket chic
The fash pack went wild in the aisles when the Chanel Shopping Centre open its doors on Tuesday morning. Karl Lagerfeld created over 500 products that filled shelves upon shelves within the Grand Palais - although nothing was up for grabs. Once the hysteria off the catwalk had mellowed (somewhat) it was time to sample the delights of the designer's Autumn Winter 2014 collection, and it didn't disappoint. We spoke to Monsieur Lagerfeld, as well as a few of his A-list FROWers, after the show - see what happened via the video below.
5. Kendall Jenner makes her PFW debut
Didn't we tell you she's heading for fashwan superstardom? Following catwalk appearances at Marc Jacobs in New York and Giles in London, Kim's little sister made her Paris Fashion Week debut at none other than Givenchy. As if that wasn't excitement enough, she brought along her brother-in-law-to-be, Kanye West, who watched proudly from the FROW. Although she wasn't there, Kim showed her support too by tweeting, ‘Best part was my baby watching & cheering on my baby sister!!! So sad I missed it! #Family #Givenchy.' Cute!
7. Magic moments with Motilo and Julia Restoin Roitfeld
Our Friday night was spent at Caviar Kaspia where Motilo.com and Julia Restoin Roitfeld hosted a swanky dinner for a select group. While guests feasted on baked potatoes and king crab salads, Paula Goldstein entertained us with a DJ set and Julia, hostess with the mostess, flitted around the room like a pink fairy in a lace Alessandra Rich frock. Arizona Muse, Atlanta De Cadenet and Leigh Lezark were among the crowd while Kendall Jenner kept a low-profile.
8. Sleek 'n' chic on the streets
In New York, it was all about the luxe sportswear, in London, we loved the experiemental outfits and in Milan, we saw full-on gloss and glamour. So what about Paris? Well, our Style Hunter eyes have spotted a lot of monochrome ensembles, a very muted palette and - GASP - an array of flats. Check out our favourites in action below...
9. A selfie moment with Miranda
'I follow toooo many people!' Miranda Kerr told Grazia's Katherine when we met her backstage at the Sonia Rykiel show. 'I just love Instagram because it visually updates you like a diary and it's fun to see what friends are doing all over the world.' It also provides the perfect excuse for a selfie. Pucker up! Read Katherine's full chat with MK here.
10. Vivienne Westwood's new 'do
Vivienne Westwood revealed a brand new look at the end of her Autumn Winter show on Saturday. The designer took her bow without her trademark orange crop and instead showcased a crop of grey under a feathered headband. She was joined on the catwalk by husband Andreas Kronthaler who wore a matching tribal-inspired outfit. Go Viv! Watch her in action below...
11. Jewellery name to know: Harlot & Bones
Between shows, we managed to pop into Colette to take a closer look at the new jewellery collaboration between Dominic Jones and Lady Amanda Harlech. 'Harlot & Bones' is an ongoing project between the two fashion pros and Dominic and Amanda plan to release one collection per year. As well as the gorgeous pieces, the fash-pack were wowed by an image on the wall shot by Nick Knight and featuring Harlech's daughter, Tallulah.
12. Jean Paul Gaultier's mini punk
The best bit about the Jean Paul Gauliter show? This cute little chap who appeared on the catwalk sporting a gravity defying mohawk. Can we take him home please?
13. Fabulous fashion food with Farfetch
It's always nice to be treated to a fancy dinner during the mayhem of fashion week, especially when your dinner companions include Prabal Gurung, Leigh Lezark and Roksanda Ilincic. The intimate event was held in celebration of D’NA launching on Farfetch.com - the ground-breaking Riyadh boutique is the first Middle Eastern store to join the luxury ecommerce site. Founder Deena Aljuhani Abdulaziz greeted guests wearing a marvellous long dress and matching cape coat designed by Mary Katrantzou, before gifting us all with dainty bracelets designed by herself in collaboration with Eddie Borgo. Now that's our kind of goodie bag. Shop the D'NA collection here.
