Paloma Faith's no stranger to fashion weeks, but she might soon be making the jump from the FROW to the runway. The 32-year-old singer's just signed a contract with Next Model Management alongside models-of-the-moment Suki Waterhouse and Arizona Muse.
The stylish songstress is know for a distinctive personal style. Her cartoonish retro look features big hair bows, sparkling fishtail gowns and form-fitting pencil skirts - all in a paintbox colour palette.
Often pinning her dramatic auburn locks into towering up-dos and wearing bold winged eyeliner and eye-popping lip shades, Paloma always makes a statement when hitting the red carpet at events like the BRITs and BAFTAs and at Paris, Milan, New York and London Fashion Weeks.
She even performed live as the models stomped the runway year's Burberry Prorsum show. Although she told Grazia Daily she stumbled on the lyrics.
'I was like, "What are the words? What are the words? What are the words?".' she said. 'It’s a brand new song so I can’t rely on autopilot like I do for my old albums. With this one, I had to think, "Oh what happens next?". I muffed it a little bit, but I shouldn’t focus on the negatives.'
Paloma joins the ranks of stylish musicians already signed to Next. Ellie Goulding, Lana Del Rey, Rita Ora and Angel Haze are already on the agency's books, alongisde Professor Green and Pharrell Williams. Faith Kates, Next’s founder and owner, describes her as a 'British fashionista with remarkable creative talent; we adore her musically and stylistically'.
She released her third album 'A Perfect Contradiction' in March. It's first single 'Can’t Rely on You' features fellow Next Model Management musician Pharrell Williams.
