2013 was a stellar year for style on the red carpet, from the Dior delight that was Marion Cotillard to  Jennifer Lawrence turning from girl-next-door to the ultimate glamazon. But as we head into the new year and with award season on the horizon our attentions have turned to the newcomers who will be grabbing our attention next. From Neighbours star turned Hollywood actress, Margot Robbie to the English rose, Felicity Jones we predict that the following ten fashionable females will be appearing in many best dressed lists in 2014.

1. Margot Robbie

The 411: Twenty-three year old Margot Robbie started her career off following in the footsteps of Kylie Minogue with a role in Neighbours. The Australian actress is due on the big screen early this year starring opposite Leonardo Dicaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street. Margot has already been on the promotional trail for the film across the pond, wearing a sophisticated black tailored suit for a press conference before donning a white asymmetrical Armani Prive gown for the film’s premiere. The two looks showed someone with quite the style versatility and the best bit is there is more to come.

The next: Emma Stone because of Margot’s inescapable blonde bombshell looks and taste for sophistication.

2. Gabriella Wilde

The 411: Gabriella Wilde kick-started her career on St Trinian’s back in 2009 and this year sees the British actress hitting the big screen in her biggest role to date in Endless Love opposite Alex Pettyfer. We are not jealous at all Gabriella! The actress came on our style radar last year with her effortlessly chic ensembles with toned down colour palettes and pared down accessories and we have a feeling in our wardrobe waters that she has plenty to offer on her promotional plans this year.

The next: Sienna Miller because of her British blonde appeal.

3. Lupita Nyong’o

The 411: At the end of last year we heralded the star of 12 Years a Slave, which is FINALLY due for release at the end of this month as a break out star and we may see her critical acclaim turn into gold come award season. With stellar style appearances in the likes of Prada, Rodarte and Miu Miu already its only to get bigger and better in 2014.

The next: Jessica Chastain due to her love of bright colours, shift dresses and the right amount of experimentation.

4. Lea Seydoux and Adele Exarchopoulos

The 411: The two stars of the Cannes winning film, Blue Is The Warmest Colour ended 2013 on a high with a Miu Miu campaign cementing their rise to fashion fame. With the film expected to be nominated at the Oscars after being nominated for a Golden Globe we predict the Miu Miu mates will have plenty of style still left in their trunks.

The next: Kristen Stewart with their love of down time toy boy grunge as well as their affinity to contemporary French fashion.

5. Felicity Jones

The 411: At the end of last year, Felicity Jones made quite the impact on the Toronto film festival red carpet whilst promoting her film with Ralph Fiennes, The Invisible Woman. The actress appeared in in a monochrome ensemble with architectural top from Viktor and Rolf at the film’s festival press conference before slipping into a fit and flare Christian Dior dress at the premiere. Both looks were the epitome of understated glamour and after winning the Best Actress award at the British Independent Film awards no one should underestimate the fashion prowess of this English rose in 2014.

The next: Marion Cotillard due to Felicity’s love of Dior, pared down sophistication but never discouting a printed dress.

6. Say Lou Lou

The Swedish two piece are all about 1970's glamour (@louloumusic instagram)

The 411: There is nothing we love more than a girl group, especially one where body con takes a back seat and full on fashion fantasy takes to the wheel and that is exactly what we have in the form of the twosome that are, Say Lou Lou. The Swedish twin sisters, like with their music, have a very distinct style, its Abba meets Farrah Fawcett via Cher’s 1970s tour wardrobe. It’s a combination we are definitely on board with and with them being long listed for the BBC Radio 1 Sound of 2014 it appears the only way is up for this pair.

The next: Haim with a heavy dose of vintage.

7. Shailene Woodley

The 411: 2014 is going to be pretty darn major for the American actress as she takes on her most high profile role to date as a kick-ass heroine in the post-apocalyptic film, Divergent opposite up and coming hunk, Theo James and Kate Winslet. She may have already been nominated for a Golden Globe for her role as George Clooney’s daughter in The Descendants but it wasn’t until last year when she appeared on two red carpets wearing direction dresses from Calvin Klein back-to-back that we sat up and took notice. With a major promotional tour on the horizon buckle yourselves in for a fashion frenzy.

The next: Jennifer Lawrence due to Shailene’s girl next door looks with a kick-ass wardrobe.

8. Krysten Ritter

The 411: For fans of  her feisty character in Don’t Trust The Bitch At Apartment 23 you will be very familiar with Krysten Ritter’s talents. The striking beauty will be appearing in four films this year, so expect a lot of red carpet appearances and if her appearance at the CDFA Fashion Fund runway show at the end of last year in a red contrast panelled Thakoon dress is anything to go by its going to be one seriously sassy year in fashion for the American.

The next: Christina Ricci because of Krysten’s dark yet alluring air.

9 Zawe Ashton and 10. Charlotte Ritchie

The 411: The Fresh Meat actresses had break-out years last year and both racked up some note-worthy red carpet appearances to boot. Charlotte wore a sassy suit to the British Comedy Awards from Paper London whilst Zawe Ashton looked every inch the red carpet heroine in Julien Macdonald at the BAFTAs back in February. With these two actresses on a role we sense that the wardrobes will just keep getting better.

The next: Naomie Harris with Zawe’s taste for glamour with a seasoning of experimentation and Zooey Deschanel with Charlotte’s kooky character seeping into her wardrobe.
