Ouch! Miley Cyrus Gets A New ‘Sad Kitty’ Tattoo... On Her Lip

Forget the tongue, it's all about Miley's 'sad kitty' (Miley Cyrus Instagram)

When it comes to making extreme statements, Miley Cyrus sure knows how to do it in style. So when the 21-year-old songstress took to Instagram last night to showcase her latest tattoo, we have to admit that whilst we weren’t surprised, we did flinch a little. Why? Well, take a closer look at Miley’s pic and you might just notice that there’s a tattoo on the INSIDE of her lower lip. Ouch! That’s gotta hurt.

Miley, who at last count had at least 20 etchings all over her body once again enlisted the services of her favourite tattoo artist Kat Von D, LA Ink star who specialises in black and grey portraits. The latest tattoo shows a yellow cat crying a single blue tear. Although we cannot help but think the new design looks like something straight out of the emoticon section on our I Phone, there’s no denying that this must have hurt a lot.

The former Hannah Montana star also has several small inkings including ‘love’ written on the inside of her ear, a heart, a cross and peace sign on her fingers and an equals sign signalling her support for gay marriage. She also has a large dream catcher on her side, a skull on her ankle, the word karma written on one of her fingers, a mini replica of da Vinci’s anatomical heart drawing on her forearm and a quote from Theodore Roosevelt on her other forearm. The girl’s running out of space, surely!?

The last time Miley showed off a new tattoo was back in November and it featured a portrait of her late grandmother Loretta Finley, with the accompanying caption reading “Because I am her favourite and she is mine.”
