Oscars 2013: Jennifer Lawrence Steals The Red Carpet Show In Dior Couture Dress

25 February 2013 by

Earlier today, we brought you 16 reasons why we love Jennifer Lawrence and the Oscar Awards have just given us about a zillion more.

Talking to Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet tonight, the actress revealed that her day has been 'stressful'. Because she's worried about losing? Because she's fretting about what to wear? Nope, because 'I had no time to eat.'. Ha! Didn't we tell she's ruddy brilliant?

'I'm starving,' she continued. 'Is there food here? The show is sooo long!' Here's hoping there'll be more than a few canapes for the A-listers to feast on.

As for how she prepared for her Big Night, J-Law reveals she had all her family (who are totes adorbs, FYI) getting ready at her house. 'I felt like Steve Martin in Father Of The Bride watching all the furniture being moved around!'

The actress is nominated for her leading role in Silver Linings Playbook and is also a presenter. 'It's just been an amazing ride,' she says of her part in the award-winning film. 'This was a passion project for all of us.' So has it changed her career? 'No, although I'll say yes to more David O. Russell movies.'

But let's talk about The Dress. 'I'm wearing Dior Haute Couture', which comes as no surprise considering Jennifer is the face of the French brand and has worn Raf Simons' creations for every ceremony during this year's awards season.

This is surely the best we've ever seen her, however. She looks positively radiant in the strapless beauty complete with a form-fitting bodice that flares into a full skirt with cascading layers. Wow-eee.

She's accessorised with a delicate Chopard necklace dangling down her back. Is this the start of a back jewelry trend? We've also seen Anne Hathaway working the trend.

So the question is: have we already got our best dressed star of the night?
