Usually it’s those lucky (read: pesky) A-listers who get first dibs on such high profile collections, but Isabel Marant has kept her H&M designs – of which will no mere mortal be able to purchase until 14 November - to herself…
Well, who better to reveal a first peek of the clothes in action than the super-chic Parisian? And while the designer may have a legion of fashion followers larger than any, she’s not chosen super-fans Kate Bosworth or Rosie Huntington Whitley to unveil the greatly anticipated line and unleash excitement over the web, but a monochrome ikat-meets-animal-print chiffon number and some signature fringed’n’slouchy pointed ankle boots. (We’ll take two of those).
H&M asked the world of Twitter what they thought of this sneak peek. And while we can't answer for the universe, it's a fact that Grazia Towers is suitably intrigued. When you look back to an original image of Marant smiling by her rail of high street goods, we reckon there’s much more to come. We’ve already wished and hoped for various things to happen: from dream campaign stars like Kate Moss to a simple wish for a truckload of must-have skinny jeans. Leathers, top-notch coats and great jersey pieces all look like they could be nestled in those coveted hangers.
Will the lady of boho-cool choose to keep showcasing the collection by herself bit by bit? Can we really wait until November? So many questions! And so much time to answer them. Watch. This. Space.
