Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl on their Big Day [Olivia Palermo/Johannes Huebl]
Forget Kimye! After six and a half years of dating, the world's most famous stylish couple, Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl, have got married. The happy news was shared on the style star's website earlier today along with two eye-wateringly beautiful shots credited to the groom himself.
Johannes also took to Instagram to share the news, describing the day as 'Part 1 - Civil Wedding', suggesting there's even more gloriousness to come. For now, we have a dreamy description on the website, which provides tantalising details about the couple's Big Day, from the 'small and discreet' setting to the bride's bridal sweater.
Read on for every juicy morsel that's landed so far...
Rather than getting hitched in the city, the pair were 'whisked away from the hustle and bustle of NYC' and 'quietly and stylishly' became husband and wife. They chose a park in Bedford, New York because it has 'such an amazing and romantic countryside,' saying their vows 'under a cloudless sky' while 'surrounded by ivy and blossoming flowers'. Seriously, who needs Kimye's wall of flowers when you have lashings of green ivy to pose in front of, perfectly off-setting the couple's matching white ensembles? We're agog.
Yesterday, Johannes took to Instagram to share a shot of an old Oak tree in the very same area along with the caption '#HappiestWeekend', suggesting this was the lush setting. After the ceremony, the happy newlyweds headed back into the city at sunset, no doubt for a super-chic celebration.
The website is careful to clarify that the ceremony itself was very intimate, 'befitting of the private couple'. Only a handful of family members and closest friends were in attendance, which explains why Grazia didn't get an invite. Right, OP? 'We really wanted to keep this beautiful day very private and special to us and enjoyed the whole day with our family and two friends,' she explained.
The Dress Sweater
Ever fashion-forward, Olivia opted to wear a simple cream cashmere sweater covered in ostrich feathers for the ceremony itself. How wonderful! She teamed it with chic white shorts under a full skirt overlay made of tulle that cinched at the waist and cascaded out in layers of satin and silk. It featured a high slit in the front to showcase a glimpse of leg with floral detailing that added to the bridal finish. The elegant ensemble was designed by Carolina Herrera, whose also created wedding dresses for Evan Rachel Wood, Renee Zellweger, Christina Hendricks and, umm, Bella Swan.

The Bridal Beauty
Rather than leaving her glossy locks loose and tumbling, Olivia stuck with the easy chic theme by pulling her hair back into a pony-tail with romantic whisps framing her face and that signature centre-parting still in tact. What a sophisticated and unique look. Her makeup was also natural-looking with soft brown eyeshadow and a dark pink lip. 'I wanted the makeup to be light and fresh and more focused about the lashes while keeping the eyes clean,' said Olivia. 'My hair was in an uncontrived Pony Tail, one of my favourite personal looks'.
Do those fancy shoes look familiar? It looks like Olivia walked up the aisle in the very same pair of deep blue Manolo Blahniks that Carrie Bradshaw wore on her wedding day (the one that actually happened, that is). Yep, who could forget when Mr Big proposed with the pair of sparkling heels in the first Sex And The City movie and Carrie went on to wear them for her Big Day? Well, it looks like OP is a fan and the blue beauties certainly provide a marvellous colour pop. They also make the ideal 'something blue' too.

As for her jewellery, Olivia donned a smattering of delicate pieces including stud earrings by Alexandra Mor and a bracelet bought during a visit to Jodhpur, India.

...and The Groom
As always, Johannes perfectly complimented his bride’s ensemble. He looked incredibly dapper in a bespoke tailored white suit by Marc Anthony Hamburg with piquet shirt, a navy Charvet tie and a navy Etro pocket square. Bravo mister!
