Back in June North West was spotted celebrating her first birthday with giant sparkly diamond studs in each ear. The Kardashians' designer Lorraine Schwartz (the lady responsible for Kim's engagement ring) has now spoken about designing North's bling.

"They were a gift for North's first birthday," the designer told E! News. "They are approximately a half carat each." Gulp. She added: "She's beautiful, a simply gorgeous little girl. I'm happy to call her my youngest client."

Most of us couldn't imagine ever wearing a Lorraine Schwartz sparkler, however this isn't the first time North has worn some of her diamonds. She wore a diamond bracelet during the Kimye wedding and Lorraine said to E! News: "I'm happy to be starting North off early—as a diamond girl. I'm obsessed with North." Lorraine Schwartz and the Kardashians go way back, as she created Kim's engagement rings and Kimye's wedding rings.

In other North West news from the weekend, Kim Kardashian told US Magazine that her daughter is already interested in beauty. She said: "North actually will totally sit on my lap and is fascinated when I'm getting my hair blown out. And when I'm getting my makeup done [too] I'll give her a little makeup brush, and she'll be entertained."

North West might only be one, but she's already living the jet-set Kardashian lifestyle. She's been showered in gifts by Celine's Phoebe Philo, Givenchy's Creative Director and friend Riccardo Tisci and Lanvin's Alber Elbaz. Plus she's already appeared in American Vogue, had her very own festival and worn Givenchy Couture.
