It's here! New York Fashion Week has begun and last night, Team Grazia landed for seven fash-tastic days of catwalk gorgeousness and FROW frenzies, with a few cocktails in between. The real action begins today, but here's what you need to know so far...
1. #Grazia360 Is Go!
In celebration of fashion weeks around the world, we're bringing you, dear readers, a 360 degree look at how the shows come to life. Over the next month, we'll be showcasing exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes videos as well as our daily antics. We've got access to the world’s greatest brands including Chanel, Burberry, Topshop, Roberto Cavalli, Givenchy and Jonathan Saunders so it's set to be a good'un. All you need to do is stay tuned to this very site as well as #Grazia360 on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest...oh, you get the picture. Don't forget to let us know what YOU want to see...
2. Meet The NYFW Squad
Say hello to the trio who'll be bringing you all the NYFW action over the next week. First up is Katherine Ormerod, Grazia's Senior Fashion News & Features Editor, who owns at least 16 pairs of biker boots and will be writing all our show reports (catch them here). She's joined by Jessica Vince, our Digital Editor, who knows more about Cara Delevingne than is healthy and plans to document every second on Grazia_Live's Instagram feed (follow, follow, follow!). And last but not least is Acting Beauty Editor Rose Beer who knows the hippest Thai resturants in town and will be totting up the best backstage beauty Autumn Winter 2014 has to offer. Talk about a dream team!
3. It's Time To Nail Snowy Chic
As we've already noted, impressive winter dressing is the silver lining on NY's frosty streets. The fash-pack are out in force in Hunter wellies, faux fur scarves and duvets Duvetica jackets. For us, it's all about the animal ears. Katherine is topping off her ensemble with this Catwoman-tastic hat from Ulyana Sergeenko while Rose is wrapping up in an adorable beanie complete with ears from Topshop.
4. We Make A Daisy Chain At Marc Jacobs' Tweet Shop
How better to spend our first night in NY than with the main man himself, Marc Jacobs. Or his chic accessories, at least. The designer opened the doors to his Daisy fragrance pop-up store in Manhattan yesterday where you pay not with money, but with tweets. Yes, it was no dollars allowed as we scooped up products in exchange for tweets, Instagram photos and Facebook posts. Naturally, we went ferrel. The Daisy Marc Jacobs Tweet Shop offers everything from perfumes to makeup and the best Instagram photo of the day will win a handbag. We know! Social currency is something we could really get on board with.
