Last night we headed down to the world premiere of Thor: The Dark World at Leicester Square, where Natalie Portman looked utterly divine in Christian Dior Spring Summer 2014. One of the perks of being a Dior darling, is getting your hands on Raf's creations fresh off the runway.
We seriously applaud Nat for wearing a cashmere long sleeved knit on the red carpet. She proved she is the master of mixing, as she paired her black basic with a metallic ball gown skirt with floral detailing. This signature Raf Simons styling is elegant and demure - snaps from us. With her glossy pony she looks like a modern day Audrey Hepburn, don't cha think?
We spoke to the director Alan Taylor about working with Natalie and he told us: 'I'll be honest I was afraid of her, because she's won Oscars, she's so intelligent and she came late to the schedule. She laughs and is a joy to work with. She is also an actress where you suggest a nuance in a moment and she really listens to you and really gets it.' Natalie glided past as he said 'I'm just explaining why I loved working with you' - which got him a hug and a kiss on the cheek from Natalie.
Natalie stopped in the downpour to tell us why she loved working with Chris Hemsworth: 'He's the loveliest of men inside and out, it's a luxury to get to work with him.' When we asked her about her incredible frock she flashed us her mega Dior grin and said 'aw thanks, I'm wearing Dior.' Oh to be able to say those three little words, eh?
Natlie's co-star Kat Dennings wore a strapless black velvet asymmetric gown with a silk skirt, topped off with a red carpet red lip. When we asked her about how she chose her frock she said to Grazia Daily: 'I am wearing vintage Lanvin from the 60s. I saw this and fell in love with it, it's classic but different and feminine and sexy.' Kat was beaming at being back in the capital as she told us: 'I love being in London. It's so beautiful. I finally got to spend a nice chunk of time here [when filming Thor] which was great.'
The tee and floral ball gown combo is part of the Dior DNA, as it has been featured in several of Raf Simons' collections for the house. Take a look at other stars who have worked this look below...
