Back in April we gave you a sneak peek at Issa's collection for Banana Republic and urged Copy-Kates everywhere to gird their loins ahead of the launch. You'll remember that British label Issa gained international attention when the Duchess of Cambridge, then Kate Middleton, wore THAT blue, silk jersey dress as she announced her engagement to now husband Prince William - and it elegantly complemented her sapphire and diamond ring. Last week it was revealed that a replica of Kate's frock will form part of the high end/ high street collaboration - and with items starting at £75, we knew we'd have to have elbows at the ready to get a piece of the action!
One lady who certainly won’t have to queue when the collection launches on the 13th August is Aussie actress Naomi Watts. It’s fitting that the woman who has just starred as Kate's late mother-in-law Princess Diana on the big screen should be the first star to wear one of the highly anticipated garments. The blonde was photographed walking her dog and showcasing a red ceramic print frock teamed with yellow wedges. Summer perfection.
Camilla al-Fayed, Issa's chairwoman, said of the collection: "You can wear looks from this collection everywhere, from a breakfast meeting to lunch and then out to dinner. These are clothes for women who work hard to play hard and can take you anywhere just be updating your accessories."
Fingers crossed that the Duchess will be the second person to wear Issa for Banana Republic!
