Model Style: Kyla La Grange's Wardrobe Diary - Singer Takes Us To The Diesel Show

On 'The Knife' video shoot

We shot the video for my new single 'The Knife' in this incredible old building filled with paintings, bunting, plants, taxidermy and all kind weird stuff - it was an amazing day. So many lovely friends came to help out - we couldn't have made it without them. In this scene I'm wearing a sequinned dress by Ashish which looked amazing under the lights - so sparkly.

Dinner at my house

I cooked dinner for some friends and then we danced for ages in my front room because sometimes staying in and dancing in your own house is just the best. If you look closely you can see my dog Flea - she doesn't really 'get' dancing but she tries to join in anyway. I'm wearing a dress by Pop Boutique and T-shirt by Topshop.

On 'The Knife' video shoot

For one of the scenes in the video I kind of wanted to look a bit like a mermaid (a childhood dream of mine, obvs) so I found this leotard by Black Milk Clothing which is a company based in Australia. It's so shiny and iridescent and fun - I love it. I wore it with sparkly white tights which I found on eBay.

At Elite London

I had to go into my agency Elite London for some Polaroid’s. Luckily it is a very dog-friendly office so I can take Flea (she got her photo taken too). I'm wearing a very old vintage white embroidered shirt under a fluffy jumper from Zara, skirt from American Apparel and velvet shoes from Topshop.

Fancy dress party

My friend had a fancy dress party with no theme so I kind of just put on anything and hoped for the best. My mum got me this feather ruff - I've worn it as a head-dress at festivals before, and the leopard print top is by American Apparel. I have this vintage headband with little beads on which I put around my neck to wear as a choker.

At the Diesel Showroom

I had to go get fitted for an outfit to wear to Nicola Formichetti’s AW14 Diesel Show in Venice, but I really liked these men's pants. Something about mannequin crotches makes you want to poke them. I'm wearing a cardigan by Edwin, shirt by Zara, and skirt by Topshop.

Arriving in Venice

We got off the plane, onto a water taxi and headed straight for the hotel. My coat is from Whistles, shirt is Topshop, jeans are American Apparel and shoes are my best find ever - I found them on eBay for like £20, they are iridescent and holographic and magical and they are by Deena & Ozzy.

At the Formichetti for Diesel show

The show was really powerful - I thought it was great, the art direction and the music as well as the clothes. Felicity, Amber and I are all wearing Diesel in this photo - I went for a bright blue T-shirt with an upside-down pyramid on it because I loved how the colour contrasted with the pink hair and I like clothes that have a bit of a sense of humour.

At the studio

I always wear super comfy clothes to the studio (actually most of the time, but especially at the studio) because I want to feel totally relaxed. This jumper is by The Ragged Priest (I love their holographic stuff), trainers are Reebok, and jeans are really old faded ones but I think they were from Urban Outfitters.

We've got a total style crush on Kyla la Grange. The model and singer has super cool candy-coloured tresses and the wardrobe of our dreams. From eccentric feather looks to sparkling minis and cute shirts to chilled-out denim, we want it all.

Plus - not only does the rainbow-haired singer have an increds sense of style, her music's is pretty awesome too. Kyla's new album 'Cut Your Teeth' is due to be released in June and we're obsessed with her brooding electro sound ever since. And - oh yeah - did we mention she's a Cambrige graduate? Talk about multi-talented.

We asked Kyla to give us an in glimpse at a week in her wardrobe and she didn't disappoint. She took us to Venice for the Diesel show, on the shoot of new video 'The Knife' and to fancy dress parties with her mates, plus we got a sneak peek inside her model agency Elite and the studio.

Take a look at her uber-cool high street wardrobe of must-buy Topshop, The Ragged Priest, Urban Outfitters and American Apparel pieces.
