Images of a leggy brunette, large of shades and glossy of lip, wafting around bamboo beach house furniture in a luxurious kaftan, rich Italians on holiday and "haute-hippy chic" all embody the spirit of Italian fashion dynasty Missoni's much copied and eminently recognisable look. But it's not all fashion for the cult brand, with news that they have launched a new online and print magazine entitled 'Moments', in line with Milan Fashion Week.
Broken up into five key sections - Stories, Visions, Making Magic, Now On and The Place To Be, the magazine is set to feature contributions from poets, writers, artists and designers from around the world, creating an online diary into the world of Missoni."It is like opening a door and entering the world of Missoni, characterized by curioisity, warmth and art in all its forms," reads the magazine's mission statement. Composed first and foremost by colour - an aspect customary of the Italian fashion label, as well as words and images, the magazine has been created in collaboration with creatives of all specialities. As they themselves put it, "Missoni is also about creativity, movement, originality and the spirit of the present."
"It is a world that finds beauty even in the smallest things." Sounds like a world we want to be a part of.
