The sixth issue of Rankin's fashion magazine has landed. The 'Mighty Blighty' themed mag celebrates the best of homegrown British talent and has no less than 20 cover stars.
One of our favourite cover stars? Nicholas Hoult. The former Skins star and boyfriend of Jennifer Lawrence features in a full-length snap that shows him sporting a suit with his hands in his pockets. In the magazine, Nick talks about how being a celebrity conflicts with being an actor.
'I always find it odd when people look into my personal life. I’m pretty private,' he says. 'The more people know about you and your personal life, or see you out and about, getting a photograph taken, the more difficult it is for them to imagine you playing a character. I don’t want people to just associate my work with my personal life.'
The mags editors say they decided to celebrate the best of British because our nations jam-packed with fashion, music and movie stars right now with creativity brewing everywhere in the country.
From up-and-comers like Ella Eyre, Holliday Grainger and Alex Pettyfer to more established stars like Kristin Scott Thomas, Rebecca Hall and Damian Lewis, the black and white shots reflect each celebrity's individual personality. With the boys suited-and-booted (sort of) and the girls mainly sporting LBDs the covers are like the most rock'n'roll black tie event of all time.
In the issues acting legend Ralph Fiennes talks new film ‘The Invisible Woman’, Michael Sheen muses about his home town in Wales, Richard Ayoade chats about his new proect ‘The Double’ and Anna Friel talks about what it means to be British. Plus Burberry FROWer Jamie Campbell Bower talks acting.
'I find it kind of ridiculous that someone wants to pay me to dress up and act,' says Jamie. 'Because I’d do that for no money.'
