As you read this designers will be putting the final touches to the dresses which will be hitting the red carpet at Monday’s MET Ball. Stylists will be in a fashion flap over which Jimmy Choos work with said dresses, Anna Wintour will be getting that bob blow dried and Jennifer Lawrence will be practicing her ‘I just fell over and what,’ face. After all for the designers choosing the right person and the right dress to represent their brand at the MET Ball is as important as selecting the face of their campaign. There is nothing casual about this event.

The question is: what will everyone be wearing? Well we know already that Lupita Nyong’o and Michelle Dockery will be joining Prada’s table, Zoe Saldana will be attending with Prabal Gurung, Givenchy will be with Amanda Seyfried, J.Mendel are taking Taylor Swift, DVF will be flanked by Margot Robbie and Olivia Munn and Tommy Hilfiger will be with their new girl, Zooey Deschanel.

Other confirmed attendees include, drum roll please… Jessica Chastain, Emilia Clarke, Naomi Watts, Jessica Pare, Allison Williams and Rita Ora who will possibly be making her first appearance as the face of Roberto Cavalli. One person who definitely won’t be in attendance will be good old Gwyneth who said last year, “I'm never going again. It was so un-fun. It was boiling. It was too crowded. I did not enjoy it at all.”

This year Anna Wintour, the high priestess of the MET Ball, who will be holding the first event at the newly (and aptly) renamed Anna Wintour Costume Center, is rumoured to have said she wants, “more exclusivity and high fashion.” Well after many used a Crayola crayon as make-up last year at the Punk: Chaos and Couture themed ball it’s no wonder Anna Wintour is making sure there are no style strays.

One thing is for sure, we can expect a lot of glamour, gowns and great celebs with the Charles James theme in full force. Take a look at the gallery above for our dress predictions. We are praying to the garment gods that they will come true on Monday!
