We got a liiiiitle bit of LFW excitement today, as WWD reports L'Wren Scott will be moving to London next season for her fall 2013 collection. Last season she had appointments in her Paris showroom, and for the past five years she had intimate sit down lunches in New York attended by a small group of press and buyers. But now she's coming across the channel to Landan.
“I liked the idea of not being tied to one place, one time, one format,” Scott told WWD. “My brand is now expanding in Europe and showing in London this season feels right. We always move to our own rhythm.”
The American fashion designer has a spot in LFW on Sunday, February 17, but "the venue and format are yet to be determined." So we've not got many details yet, but anyone else predicting a Mick Jagger London Fashion Week FROW sighting? Michelle Obama, Uma Thurman and Reese Witherspoon have all worn L'Wren so this LFW could be an A List affair *fingers crossed*.
It's all change for the designer, as L'Wren Scott also moved into the world of beauty this month, as on the 12th December she launched her first fragrance with a hefty £120 price tag. Scott said to WWD that she "always wanted to go into fragrance." She also admitted that in the two year development of the fragrance her boyfriend Mick Jagger "definitely noticed a lot of perfume testing going on."
