UPDATE: L'Wren Scott's friends and family flooded to St. Bartholomew's Church in New York last night to pay tribute to the designer who died aged 49 on March 17 this year.

Mick Jagger took to the stage to pay tribute to his partner, reflecting on their years as a couple and sitting at a piano to perform Bob Dylan's 'Just Like A Woman'. Sarah Jessica Parker and Andre Leon Talley also gave speeches about their friendship with L'Wren.

Other guests at the event included Georgia May Jagger, who arrived with her father and fellow Rolling Stones Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood. Plus Anna Wintour, Julianne Moore, Meg Ryan, Olivia Munn, Daphne Guinness, Renee Zellweger and Karlie Kloss were all in attendance.

The tragic news arrived on 17th March that L’Wren Scott had been found dead in her New York apartment, with the death ruled as suicide by hanging. Yesterday she was buried in Los Angeles in a small private gathering of close friends and family, with reportedly 70 guests in attendance. The funeral service took place at the Hollywood Forever Funeral Home, where stars including Jayne Mansfield and Rudolph Valentino are buried.

During the service L'Wren's partner of 13 years, Mick Jagger, delivered a tribute, along with her brother Randy Bambrough, Justinian Kfoury, Ira M. Hammons-Glass and Adam Glassman. In a release, it says that Mick Jagger's daughter, Jade, read Psalm 139, his daughter Karis and Ellen Barkin read a poem, and his grandchildren, Mazie and Zak, read Psalm 23. Jade Jagger is seven months pregnant and so was given a special dispensation by insurers to fly in for the funeral from her home in Ibiza.

In a statement last week Sir Mick Jagger admitted he is "struggling to understand" the tragic news that the fashion designer took her own life, and recalled their "wonderful" time together. In a message on his website entitled 'L'Wren', he wrote: "I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way. We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves. She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me." The 70-year-old rocker went on to say he felt "touched" by the tributes which have poured in for the 49-year-old stylist and pledged to "never forget" her.

The statuesque Scott made the transition from model to stylist to designer. She embarked on a successful modelling career after being spotted by photographer Bruce Weber at a Calvin Klein photo shoot. She also made her mark on the red carpet, as she styled Nicole Kidman, Madonna and Amy Adams among others. It was back in 2006 that she introduced her first collection called "Little Black Dress," presenting each season during London Fashion Week.
