L'Wren Scott's Style Legacy Will Live On Via The L'Wren Scott Amber Award

28 March 2014 by

After the tragic death of L'Wren Scott on March 17, a fashion award has been created in her name to celebrate emerging fashion talent. The Art of Elysium - a Los Angeles-based non-profit organisation that uses art, fashion design and music to help children with serious medical conditions - has unveiled the L'Wren Scott Amber Award, named after both the late fashion designer and a young girl with a brain tumour called Amber, who was one of the first children to participate in a fashion workshop at The Art of Elysium.

The L'Wren Scott Amber Award will be given to emerging fashion stars, and it will give them the chance to donate their time and talents to ill children, as well as creating a bespoke line of capsule clothing to benefit the Elysium Collections. The pieces will be sold through the charity's website, and talks are already underway to find a retail partner. Following Scott's funeral on March 25, Scott's family have requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Art of Elysium in her memory instead.
