Lupita Nyong'o Tops People's 'Most Beautiful' List! Here's Her Most Breathtaking Moments

Yay! Lupita Nyong'o has topped People magazine's 'Most Beautiful' list for 2014.

The special issue has been running for 25 years now, with previous winners including Michelle Pfeiffer, Julia Roberts, Halle Berry, Tom Cruise and Leonardo DiCaprio.

The US magazine's Editorial Director Jess Cagle announced the news on the Today show this morning, explaining that they picked the actress because she's beautiful inside and out.

'There was really no contest this year,' he said. 'She seemed like the only choice. Usually there's a lot of debate but we were all in agreement. She's obviously talented, obviously beautiful, she's incredibly stylish, but the way she carries herself with such grace and such humility is what put her over the top.'

Lupita was typically gracious about being given the title. She told the show she was 'flattered' and that it was the end of a 'long journey' of self-acceptance about her looks.

'I'm flattered, but flattered sounds like such a flighty word, you know? I'm flattered with, like, gravitas under it,' she said. 'I mean, you could have never told me that that would happen when I was 16 and insecure about my complexion.'

The win is the icing on the cake for Lupita. The 31-year-old has had a very exciting few months. Not only did she win an Oscar in March for her role in 12 Years A Slave, she was also announced as a new ambassador for Lancome. In celebration, take a look at Lupita's most beautiful moments below...
